Students select a concentration of study in a program offered at K-State Polytechnic or on the Manhattan campus, or can transfer in credits already earned to pair with this bachelor's degree. The applied business and technology program enhances a student's education by combining a marketable skill already learned at the university level with proficiencies in management, leadership, analytics, communications and commerce. Applied business and technology allows you to personalize your degree – choose a focus area taught on campus or transfer community college or technical school credits. You have the opportunity to transfer up to 60 credit hours, providing a jump start on your degree. Some focus area examples include fire science, veterinary technician, aviation maintenance, wind energy, computer systems and hazardous materials – but the opportunities are endless! For Kansas residents: 1. Complete the Kansas pre-college curriculum with at least a 2.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale, AND 2. Achieve an ACT composite score of 21, or an SAT score of 1060 or above, (If the test was taken prior to March 2016, must have a minimum combined SAT-I score of 980), or rank in the top one-third of their high schools' graduating class, AND 3. Achieve a 2.0 GPA on all attempted college work. Non-residents from accredited schools: 1. Complete the Kansas pre-college curriculum with at least a 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale, AND 2. Achieve an ACT composite score of 21, or an SAT score of 1060 or above, (If the test was taken prior to March 2016, must have a minimum combined SAT-I score of 980), or rank in the top one-third of their high schools' graduating class, AND 3. Achieve a 2.0 GPA on all attempted college work. International students: Specific program requirements. Score a 21 composite on the ACT (980 SAT CR+M) OR Complete pre-college course work with a 2.5 or higher GPA International undergraduate students may be admitted to Kansas State University based on academic credentials with no proof of English proficiency (no TOEFL or other standardized test scores). If students choose to be admitted without proof of English proficiency, they will be required to take the English Proficiency Test (EPT) upon their arrival on campus.
