Program overview

Experience a unique architecture program which highlights design and culture for northern Ontario with an emphasis on developing expertise in wood and sustainable materials. Focus on design, culture, technology and professional practice and enjoy courses on the main Laurentian University campus, and at the McEwen School of Architecture, Laurentian's downtown satellite. Challenge your creativity through the application of practical building solutions for northern climates, taking into account cultural sensitivities, diverse histories, and community profiles.

Attention! Architectural studies is a limited enrolment program. Selection is based upon overall admission requirements, and not solely on grade averages. Also you nedd personal portfolio for this program 1. A portfolio to demonstrate their creativity and skills 2.A statement of interest (1-2 page) to explain their interest in architecture as well as their choice of Laurentian University 3.The name and contact information of 2 references (when possible, at least one from a current teacher) All documents must be sent in one package to the School of Architecture (by mail) or electronic ([email protected]). Examples of portfolios you can see on program website. 4.Senior level English and two senior level math And for International Baccalaureate minimum score of 28 fulfilled the diploma requirements (six subjects, minimum three at the higher level) International Baccalaureate transcript to the Office of Admissions for evaluation
