Program overview

You’ll Be a Great Leader Because You'll Understand Teams. We Make Sure of It. The experience and knowledge you’ll gain being part of a team-based program will be an advantage. Employers are demanding those skills when they’re recruiting and we’re delivering with well-rounded graduates, ready for the marketplace. An MBA Unlike Any Other Program's holistic approach delivers both the technical expertise and interpersonal skills development that employers require today. That’s the SmithEdge and your competitive advantage. Technical Skills: Knowledge delivered from world-class faculty and industry experts through a number of teaching methods. Power Skills: Graduate equipped with these skills that employers are demanding today: problem solving, working well with others, being a team-member, learning how to lead as well as personal capacity skills like coachability, self-reflection, time management, and prioritization. The GMAC Recruiters survey underscores that this combination of technical capacity and interpersonal skills is most highly valued by employers. Blended Teaching Style Experiential There is no better way to learn than by actually doing what you are learning. Participate in unique opportunities that include innovative options not available anywhere else. Simulation For subject matter that does not easily lend itself to the "learning by doing" method, the Full-time MBA program utilizes a number of innovative simulations to create challenging learning experiences for students. Case Studies At Smith School of Business, case studies are used extensively, but not exclusively. Smith School of Business believes the Case Method to be a very effective tool as part of its blended approach. Case studies provide the opportunity for students to analyze and resolve a vast array of real business issues and opportunities.
