Program overview

The Master of Engineering Studies caters for professional engineers seeking advanced technical training, and is a taught-coursework master's degree with no thesis or research requirement. The MEngSt comprises a combination of 400 and 600-level courses that enables students to study a broad range of topics in their general area of expertise. The MEngSt may be awarded endorsed in: Civil Engineering Construction Engineering Earthquake Engineering Fire Engineering Mechanical Engineering Renewable Energy Transportation Engineering.

Requirements

Students must normally have completed one of the following: Bachelor of Engineering with Honours with First or Second Class Honours Postgraduate Certificate in Engineering with a GPA of 5 or more Bachelor of Science with Honours in appropriate subjects. Relevance and standard of previous study is the main criteria for approval. English language requirements: IELTS Academic: an average score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in reading, writing, listening and speaking TOEFL iBT: total minimum score of 90, minimum score of 19 in reading, writing and listening. TOEFL PBT: with a minimum score of 575 and TWE with a minimum score of 4.5 Pearson Test of English (Academic): with an overall score of 58 and no PTE communicative skills score below 50
