Overview

The CLE provides students with in-state tuition waivers  for full-time studies at UNG for students who complete the advanced level of English studies in the CLE. Moreover no English language proficiency (TOEFL or IELTS) is required for undergraduate admission to UNG after a student has successfully completed the advanced level of English studies in the CLE. CLE classes contain less than 12 students and provide individual attention for students studying English. Students will live in a modern campus dormitory and walk to all school facilities. UNG offers international students a safe location to study, a small American town to enjoy life, a friendly campus to meet American students, and beautiful natural scenery to enjoy the outdoors.

Entry requirements

In order to be accepted into the Intensive English Program, students must have graduated from high school and have at least low-intermediate level English because the CLE does not offer beginner-level English classes.
If your TOEFL iBT score is above 55 or if your IELTS score is above 5.0, you may apply to the CLE.
If you haven’t taken the TOEFL or IELTS - or if your TOEFL iBT score is below 55 or if your IELTS score is below 5.0 - an instructor of the CLE will interview you through Skype or Wechat to determine your English level.
