Entry requirements

  • Find your research supervisor Most of our master’s and doctoral programs require you to find a faculty member who agrees to include you on their team and supervise your work even before you apply for admission to INRS. This does not apply to professional programs (non-thesis) or for some master’s programs with dissertation in social sciences or graduate diploma programs or short programs.
  • You must provide one (1) copy of your official transcript and one (1) official document certifying that you were awarded the degree on which your application is based. Any document not written in French or English must be accompanied by a French translation by a certified translator.
  • You must provide evaluation forms from three (3) different respondents. The forms completed by your respondents attesting to your demonstrated or potential aptitude for research and/or professional expertise.

You should carefully review the admissions requirements described in the program of study related to the professor or research project before completing and submitting your application and supporting documentation. If you submit an admission application for a professional program (without thesis), you not have to find research advisor.
