Overview

Oxford Brookes University started in 1865 as the Oxford School of Art, located in a single room on the ground floor of the Taylor Institution at St Giles', Oxford. The university is divided into four faculties: Business, Health and Life Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Technology, Design and Environment. In 2011, Oxford Brookes University was the sixth largest employer in Oxfordshire. Oxford Brookes University is nationally ranked 63rd by The Times, 33rd by The Guardian and 51st by The Complete University Guide. In 2018, the QS World University Rankings named it the only UK university on its list of Top 50 universities under 50 years old in the world.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements for undergraduate international students:

High school diploma or equivalent with official transcript  IELTS 6.0-7.0

Entry requirements for postgraduate international students:

For a postgraduate taught degree: a good bachelor’s degree (equivalent to a UK honours degree)

For the MBA, you must also have 3 years professional work placement experience

For a postgraduate research degree: a postgraduate master’s degree or good honours bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject

IELTS 6.0 to 7.0, with 6.0 in reading and writing, and 5.5 in listening and speaking

Scholarship & funding

The university offers a brand new scholarship for international students starting in September 2020. Confirm your place by 15 April 2020 to secure an automatic scholarship of £2,000 towards paying your tuition fees!
