Program overview

When students start at the International Study Centre will depend on the IELTS score and whether choose to take a break between completing your Undergraduate Foundation Programme and starting  undergraduate degree.

The modules  study depend on what subjects are planned to study at Strathclyde. Students can choose five additional route modules related to the chosen progression degree. If students are aiming to study a joint degree, students have the option to choose from both business and social sciences route modules.

Requirements

Exams:

  • IELTS

certified copies of qualifications, eg degree certificate and transcripts (showing the subjects taken and grades). If still studying, a transcript of results can be provided so far

if qualifications are in a language other than English, official translations in addition to the copies of the original documents should be provided

if English is not applicant's first language, a suitable English language test certificate (if appropriate), for example IELTS should be provided

a copy of passport (if applicant is a non EU overseas applicant). Passport is required in order to obtain Certificate of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) statement which allows applicant to apply for Tier 4 visa to study

a copy of sponsor letter/scholarship award (if appropriate/available) 

  • Nationality: Only available to overseas students‡, non-UK/Ireland
  • Age: You must be 17 years old before the start of the first term 
  • English: Academic IELTS for UKVI 5.0 overall (minimum 4.5 in writing)*
  • Academic: Good high school graduation grades or equivalent academic study
