Because of its flexibility and options for practical and applied studies, the MA in Criminal Justice will appeal to both in-service professionals as well as traditional students pursuing advanced studies in the social sciences. Students in the program gain an in-depth understanding of the criminal justice system, as well as advanced skills in research methodology, study design and application, and policy development. Students can pursue either a course and project-based program of study, or a course and thesis-based program of study.

Applicants who hold an Honours degree in Criminal Justice or Criminology with an overall grade point average of 3.0 are preferred candidates. Students with a four-year social science degree, strong backgrounds in theory and methods and a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher will also be considered. Duolingo English Test - A minimum score of 115. Accepted on a trial basis for Fall & Winter intake 2020-2021.
Graduates are prepared for further doctoral study or for mid-level planning/research officer positions in government or the non-profit sector.
