The Internet technology has significantly changed people's daily lives, becoming an integral part of their business and leisure activities. On the other hand, society has in turn placed higher demands on the performance of the Internet. In the foreseeable future, the revenue generated from the e-commerce will exceed that from many traditional industries. In a few years’ time, the economy in the Pearl River Delta will likely be similar to that is in the United States: the Internet industry provides more employment than many other traditional industries. Shenzhen, as one of the most important base of IT industry in China, has a very high demand of IT professionals with a world vision. CUHK (SZ) strives to become a world-class teaching and research institute, and is committed to carry out cutting-edge research and knowledge transfer in the fields of information technology, big data, new energy, international finance and logistics, etc. To realize this goal, staff of high-caliber has been globally recruited, curricula carefully designed and campus facility purposely built.
