Swinburne University of Technology

Swinburne University of Technology has its origins in the Eastern Suburbs Technical College, which was established in 1908 in the Melbourne suburb of Hawthorn by George Swinburne. In 1913, the institution changed its name to Swinburne Technical College. It attained university status on 1 July 1992 with the passage of the Swinburne University of Technology Act. Over 100 years ago Swinburne began with a simple premise: to provide technical education to a sector of society otherwise denied further education. For over a century Swinburne has committed to innovative education, strong industry engagement and social inclusion. 

International applications are individually assessed on country-specific criteria.

Proof of language proficiency is needed for non-native English speakers.
