This is an amazing time to go into computing, with unprecedented opportunities. Computers are a ubiquitous and growing presence in all aspects of modern society, and thus there is huge and increasing demand for computing professionals that is far from being met by the profile of today's graduates.

The Master's program assumes all incoming students have the fundamental skills required of computer science students, with strong programming skills in C, C++ or Java and a solid mathematical background, including calculus, statistics, probability, and discrete mathematics. A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline and satisfactory scores on the Graduate Record Examination general (aptitude) section are required for admission.
