During this program students will learn: Appreciating critical biological, social, cultural, ethical, and psychological factors that influence health; Exercising emotional intelligence to make useful observations, generate insights, and modify behaviour in a professional work setting; Understanding the structure and organization of the public health-care system in Ontario and Canada; Understanding and applying contemporary best practices in nursing care; Critically appraising and evaluating evidence to support nursing interventions; Critically analyzing health-care systems from an informed perspective; advocating for and implementing change when appropriate; Understanding and valuing ethical practice; Collaborating with patients/clients, families, interdisciplinary health professionals to achieve positive health outcomes; Decision making; considering information from a variety of sources to solve problems and make decisions.

1. General Certificate of Education (GCE): Five Passes on the General Certificate of Education including two at the Advanced or, four passes on the General Certificate of Education, including three at the Advanced Level. Two Advanced Supplementary (AS) Level courses may be substituted for an Advanced Level Course. 2. International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma: Applicants who have completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum overall score of 24, and passes in a minimum of 6 subjects including at least three courses at the Higher Level will be considered for admission to the University of Windsor. 3. English language proficiency. This program requirements: Successful completion of secondary (or high) school diploma and minimum 70% average of the top six grade 12 courses. Grade 12 English, Grade 12 Biology, Grade 12 Chemistry, and one Grade 12 Mathematics required. A minimum grade of 65% in Grade 12 English is required. A second minimum average of 70% is required in Grade 12 Chemistry and Biology. These averages may be higher, depending on the number of applicants.
