The University of South Australia (UniSA) is a public research university in the Australian state of South Australia. It is a founding member of the Australian Technology Network of universities, and is the largest university in South Australia with approximately 32,000 students.
The university was founded in its current form in 1991 with the merger of the South Australian Institute of Technology (1889) and College of Advanced Education (1856), combining more than 150 years of teaching and research history.
Heriot-Watt University is a public research university based in Edinburgh, Scotland. It is established in 1821 as the world's first mechanics' institute. It is the eighth oldest higher education institute in UK. The name Heriot-Watt was taken from Scottish inventor James Watt and Scottish philanthropist and goldsmith George Heriot. It is ranked 302nd worldwide (QS World University Rankings 2018/19) and 35th in the UK (The Complete University Guide 2020).
