The programme aims to train future business professionals in the core domains of business and cutting-edge information systems that underpin the contemporary information society. Upon successful completion of this Programme, students should be able to: Process, analyze and manage business/accounting data, information, and knowledge; Elaborate and address the key issues in specific business domains for IS such as finance and accounting; Demonstrate critical thinking abilities and communication skills in the development and management of cutting-edge information systems and technologies; Discover opportunities and identify competitive advantages for organizations via information systems management, planning, and strategies; and Cope with emerging IS/IT issues such as IS risks and security in contemporary information society and Internet-enabled businesses. We offer hands-on Management Consulting Experience: Participants can choose to take Management Consulting in Asia (IS6930, spaces are limited) elective in the form of a field-based consulting project outside Hong Kong. Strong Alumni Support: Students in the program gain a wide array of support from a community of hundreds of BIS alumni working in or outside Hong Kong through periodical physical gathering and ongoing virtual interactions (e.g., at Weiqun, subscription open exclusively to existing BIS students and alumni).

Admission Applicants must satisfy all of the following to be eligible for admission: Hold a recognised Bachelor's degree in any subject, preferably not in Information Systems or Computer Science related disciplines, from one of the tertiary education institutions in Hong Kong funded by the University Grant Committee (UGC), or equivalent; and Have gained a basic level of computer literacy.
