Further, they need to understand how organisations can leverage their employees’ skills and knowledge. The programme covers a wide range of objectives, spanning technical, managerial and organisational change topics. The MScEBKM programme is offered by the Department of Information Systems, which is the largest of its kind in Hong Kong and one of the largest and most active worldwide. Many of your fellow students will come from China, thus lending their own mainland experience and focus to the programme. In addition, recently admitted students have come from countries as diverse as as Germany, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Ivory Coast and the USA. Through both our international professors and the international student body, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of different perspectives on e-business. Finally, students on the the MScEBKM programme may elect to participate in a residential trip to China, where you will acquire hands-on knowledge about e-business applications in the mainland. Applicants should satisfy all of the following to be eligible for admission: hold a recognized Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business or management related subject from a UGC-funded tertiary education institution in Hong Kong, or an equivalent institution overseas; have gained a basic level of computer literacy; and preferably have two or more years of working experience. Applicants whose entrance qualification is obtained from an institution where the medium of instruction is not English should also fulfill the minimum English proficiency requirement. Students with higher scores will be favourably considered.
