Students rate our teaching extremely highly. English Literature at Bangor received 100% overall student satisfaction in the 2016 NSS. This places Bangor top in the UK for student satisfaction. We are committed to teaching in small groups as well as lectures, one-to-one supervision and providing individualised feedback. Modules combine the innovative – e.g. The Literature of Laughter, Transformative Writing and The Gothic in Literature and Film – with the more traditional – e.g. Beowulf to Malory, Victorian Literature and Contemporary Literature. Our research informs our teaching.
