Admission to the Spanish program requires: a bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university; an undergraduate major in Spanish with a GPA of at least 3.0 in all Spanish courses beyond the 100 level; a minimum overall undergraduate GPA of 2.7; a cover letter in English or Spanish including a description of past experience and future plans in terms of Spanish, stating why the student intends to study in the program, what makes him/her a good candidate, and contact information; an official undergraduate transcript; a writing sample of at least five pages in Spanish (10 pages, if applying for the graduate assistantship); and three letters of recommendation, at least two from professors of Spanish, attesting to the student's level of proficiency in Spanish, academic interest and personal qualities which make him/her a qualified student. Step One: Apply online as an International student pursuing a graduate degree (master's, doctoral or specialist). Pay $60 application fee online Step Two: Transcripts/individual mark sheets/diplomas: Applicants must provide official copies of these documents which must be sent in a sealed envelope for the school(s) you attended or have the schools send them directly to us at the address below. Step Three: Please check with the department to which you are applying, or their website, for any other departmental requirements which may include but are not limited to the following: Statement of Purpose Standardized test scores (GRE, GMAT, MAT) Letters of recommendation Portfolio Résumé Step Four: Your application will be evaluated for acceptance. If admitted, you will receive your admissions letter electronically.
