The mechanical engineering and production technology degree programme allows students to focus on production systems, design of mechanical systems or simulation and modelling. The extent of the degree programme is 240 credits and the duration is approximately 4 years. It is also possible to graduate sooner for example with summer studies and possible previous knowledge and competence or studies from the field. The degree includes also work placement of 5 months and a final thesis. In addition to general engineering skills, you will develop deeper knowledge in the design processes and methods of machines, equipment, products and structures as well as in production technology, production planning and modern manufacturing methods. The first two years of studies are similar for all mechanical engineering and production technology students, and after that you can choose one or more of the following 15 credit profiling study modules: design of industrial appliances structural analysis manufacturing automation in the workshop.
