The five (5) year MBBS will provide students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to undertake supervised practice as interns in Australia or New Zealand and an appropriate foundation for lifelong learning and further training in any branch of medicine. The scientific basis of medicine and its clinical application will be taught in an integrated manner which will provide not only clinical relevance, across the five (5) years, but also highlight the ethical and professional aspects of medical practice.

Academic Qualifications Qualifications equivalent to Australian Year 12 level; AND a Chemistry subject: A grade or equivalent Mathematics is not a pre-requisite subject but is desirable To be eligible for a place in the Guaranteed Entry Scheme applicants must: have applied for a place in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery have an ATAR of 90 or above (or equivalent) have undertaken the ISAT and have achieved a competitive ISAT score, equivalent to the requirements for entry into MBBS in that year have the pre-requisite subjects for admission to the Bachelor of Medical Research Applicants who are offered places in the Guaranteed Entry Scheme, complete a full-time load (100 credit points in an academic year) with no Leaves of Absence (or deferral), no failures and no recognition of prior learning and attain a mid-level credit (65%) over the entire course, will be guaranteed entry into the first year of the MBBS the year after completion of the BMedRes. Entry into the MBBS would also be subject to the usual requirements that relate to Safety in Practice Agreement.
