Program overview

The Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology will develop knowledge and skills in: anatomy physiology biomechanics motor control and learning psychology. As an exercise physiologist, you will understand what’s involved in: exercise testing and prescription movement analysis sport performance mental well-being. This specialisation will provide professional training, skills, competencies and clinical practicum hours needed for accreditation by the Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).

Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must: have completed an undergraduate degree that is accredited by Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) at Exercise Science level, with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 4.6 on the ACU 7 point scale ; OR have attained ESSA Graduate assessment, and a non-ESSA accredited bachelor degree with a grade point (GPA) average of at least 4.6 on the ACU 7 point scale; OR have attained Exercise Science accreditation and a non-ESSA accredited bachelor degree with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 4.6 on the ACU 7 point scale; OR have completed a bachelor degree that is accredited by ESSA at Exercise Science level, with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 7.2 on the ACU 7 point scale AND have evidence of substantial relevant industry experience for at least one year post-Bachelor qualification; OR have attained ESSA Graduate assessment and a non-ESSA accredited bachelor degree, with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 4.2 on the ACU 7 point scale, AND have evidence of substantial relevant industry experience for at least one year post-Bachelor graduation; OR have attained Exercise Science accreditation and a non-ESSA accredited bachelor degree, with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 42 on the ACU 7 point scale, AND have evidence of substantial relevant industry experience for at least one year post-Bachelor graduation. submit evidence of a current CPR certificate; submit a letter of application (300-500 words) outlining the reasons for their interest in the course; submit supporting professional referee's report Applicants must also have an overall academic IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in every band) or equivalent.
