The integrated component of geology and geophysics prepares graduates to work around the world in oil and gas, gold and other minerals. You’ll undertake significant field experience in the operation of industry-standard equipment and computer software. Practical work in collaboration with industry and community partners will further cement your learning in applied geology and geophysics. The course contains practical and work-relevant components that include practical geological work similar to that conducted in resources and environmental industry settings. Including- hands-on computing and practical exercises with industry standard software and geology field trips to various sites. In addition to practical exercises with industry standard geophysical software and equipment in addition to a week-long exploration geophysics field trip.
