With major challenges like fintech implementation and integration, globalization, new regulations and other industry innovations, financial services employers are saying they need skilled people with computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics and econometrics training now more than ever. New positions in the financial industry now require not just knowledge of finance but also quantitative and technical skills. In order to address this critical need, we have added a STEM-designated Quantitative Finance major to our renowned full-time study program. Our MS in Finance program continues to also be offered in a part-time and 100% online format. The D’Amore-McKim MS in Finance offers rigorous training in finance, helping you develop strong analytic and problem-solving skill sets that will set you apart from other professionals in the market. At our program’s core is a top-tier curriculum that consists of rigorous coursework, real-world applications, and a commitment to ethics. You will learn firsthand from distinguished faculty dedicated to your success. Our faculty integrate the CFA Body of Knowledge into our curriculum to help you prepare for licensure should you opt to sit for this exam.     If you’re applying from a high school outside of the United States: please read the International Applicants page English Proficiency: All students, regardless of citizenship must demonstrate English language proficiency when applying to Northeastern. You can meet the requirement if: English is your native language. You have lived, and studied, at a high school for 4 consecutive academic years, in the United States or another majority native English speaking country. You submit, along with your application, official test results directly from the testing agency for one of the following English language proficiency tests: TOEFL iBT IELTS Academic PTE Academic C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency

    Career opportunities

    As a full-time student you will have the opportunity to take a Career Management Course, taught by our Graduate Career Center staff. This course will introduce you to a U.S. job search including job search strategy, elevator pitches, resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and interviewing. Employers and alumni from outside the university will be guest speakers and offer networking opportunities. You’ll be paired with a career advisor to work directly with you throughout the program.
