Program overview
While MADtech students come from various professional backgrounds and fields of media, art or design, they all share a fascination with technology. The role that technology is going to play in students research exceeds that of a mere tool with predefined and process-shaping functionality. Instead, technology and its influence are examined critically, researched conceptually, used creatively in non-standard ways or developed individually to enable the creation of specific MADtech strangeness. The combination of disciplines gives students an opportunity to develop their artistic vision while deploying a hybrid artistic practice as an autonomous media performer, artist and designer.

On campus
Requirements
Exams:
- TOEFL iBT
- IELTS
- TOEFL PBT
To be admitted you need in principle:
A bachelor's degree
We prefer a bachelor's degree in art (visual arts or design) or an equivalent previous
education (for example, a university degree or diploma in a related area).
Please note: In case your portfolio (and application form) shows enough/sufficient skills in art and your motivation fits the program, it doesn't have to be a problem for the admission that your bachelor is not art related.
Good English language skills
Our master course is taught in English!
More information on the English Language requirements can be found on the application form or see here English language requirements.
Besides your portfolio and motivation, learning goals are very important in the admission procedure. So please explain this clearly on the application form and include in your portfolio also images of recent work.
Portfolio
The portfolio has to include 20 images (this is an indication) or other visual or sound documentation (such as video) characterizing your work well and giving a clear picture of your qualities as an artist.
Career opportunities
As a master of Fine Arts students can continue to set up their own artistic practice, individually or as a member of an artistic collective.
