Overview

NAIT provides a positive student experience that encompasses students’ mental, emotional and physical well-being and defines success broadly. Entry requirements

When choosing a NAIT credit, non-credit or apprenticeship program, it's important to know what you'll need to get into – and be successful in – your program.
In addition to academic requirements, NAIT programs have additional requirements and considerations that you will need to fulfil for successful admission into the program. Make sure to read the admission requirements carefully before applying.
English Language Proficiency
NAIT English Language Proficiency Exam
Minimum 75% or higher in each of the four components
NAIT’s Level 6 Courses NEAP611, NEAP621 and NEAP631
Successful completion of all 3 courses with 60% or higher in each course
Completion of the Canadian Language Benchmarks Assessment (CLB) with minimum test scores for each component
8 in the Speaking component
8 in the Reading component
8 in the Listening component
8 in the Writing component
IELTS (Academic Format)
with minimum band scores for each component
A minimum overall band score of 6.5 will be required for the Fall 2021 intake onwards
6.5 in the Speaking component
6.0 in the Reading component

TOEFL IBT (Internet Based)

Scholarship & funding

International scholarship tied to a program of study

This scholarship is available to NAIT international students currently enrolled in year 2, 3 or 4 of a credit program who have demonstrated academic achievement. Applicants must hold a minimum GPA of 2.7. There are 4 scholarships available annually in the amount of $2500 each. One scholarship will be awarded per school. The scholarships are listed under the following names:
International Applied Sciences Scholarship
International Business Scholarship
International Health and Life Sciences Scholarship
International Skilled Trades Scholarship

International Community Builder Scholarship
This scholarship is available to NAIT international students currently enrolled in year 2, 3 or 4 of a credit program who have demonstrated involvement in the campus community (e.g. involvement in campus clubs, volunteering, peer mentoring, etc.). Applicants must hold a minimum GPA of 2.0. There are 4 scholarships available annually in the amount of $2500 each.
