This program prepares specialists in molecular biology which is the study of the structure and function of genes and the proteins they encode, including genome sequencing, recombinant DNA technology and macromolecular structure determination.

An approved equivalent Bachelor degree in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biological Chemistry, or an approved discipline. UQ or equivalent GPA of 5 or above on a 7 point scale. IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6.

Laboratory research, scientific positions in the pharmaceutical, forensics, food science, biotechnology and other industries.
