Entry requirements


    Applicants might be accepted if they have some international qualifications such as IB, GCE A levels, SAT.  Those who only have a state educational certificates that are not internationally recognized need to complete a foundation year.If  there is no distinctive information about entry requirements for your country,  probably, you will need to complete foundation year before entering University of Edinburgh. You can enter College of Science and Engineering with state Senior High School Certificate. Entry requirements vary widely depending on the subject and/or the specific course.     We accept the following English language qualifications at the grades specified:
IELTS Academic module overall 6.5 with 6.0 in each component

TOEFL-iBT 92 or above with 20 in each section

Cambridge English: Advanced or Proficiency overall 176 with 169 in each component
Pearson Test of English (Academic): Total 61 with at least 51 in each "Communicative Skills" section
Trinity ISEISE II with a distinction in all four components

The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies is offering two scholarships for overseas students beginning their studies on the BVM&S full-time programme in the 2020-2021 academic year.

Scholarships are available to Mathematics students of outstanding ability from countries outside the European Union for the academic session 2020-2021.
