Career opportunities

As services for people with an intellectual disability have evolved greatly in the past few years, greater emphasis is placed on integration in schools, work and community and the R.N.I.D. is at the forefront in promoting and advocating for this integration. This programme provides graduates with the knowledge and experience to contribute effectively in community and health care services. The government recognise the need for more services for people with intellectual disability and at present there is a shortfall in nurses qualifying in this area.
