Program overview
Your MIM will build on your existing IT knowledge to help you develop a deeper understanding of how organisational and societal considerations influence and are influenced by information technology. It will enable you to grow from an individual contributor to someone who can lead a team or organisation, bridging between people in technical and business roles. Your studies will include:
Two core courses—you'll learn about communication and critical thinking in information management, and management in the new information age.
Eight other courses—choose from a wide variety of courses according to your interests and career goals in subjects like managing IT change, IT security, managing big data and analytics, and emerging information technologies. These courses change regularly to include fast-developing subjects.
A case study—you'll do your own investigation into an IT management issue relevant to your career goals.
The Diploma programme requires you do the two core courses and six more courses of your choice, and Certificate students do the two core courses and choose a further two.
