Acadia’s sociology department prides itself on having excellent student-teacher contact. With smaller classes, particularly at the senior levels, you are able to develop and express your own ideas. You will participate actively in the department - attending meetings and serving on key committees. We have a strong honours program, and a small-but-solid graduate program. Graduate and honours students often act as assistants in lower level courses and act, less formally, as mentors to undergraduates who are adjusting to university life. Your opinions and ideas are what make our classrooms and café discussions great. Get ready to commit sociology.
