Medicine is a demanding subject so it is important to look after yourself and have a good support network. You will be allocated a Personal Tutor who can offer advice on study-related or personal issues and we have a dedicated Student Support Lead to help you cope with the unique requirements of a medical student. In addition, there is a wide range of university support services. You will have many opportunities to explore new interests, develop hobbies and make new friends: these form an important part of university life and provide a balance to the work. We have successfully completed several stages of the rigorous General Medical Council (GMC) approval process and have been approved for undergraduate recruitment starting from 2018. The GMC has now committed to undertaking a programme of further quality assurance, including annual visits and following the first cohort of students as they progress through their course until they graduate in 2023

Foundation is required for students from Russia This list details the foundation programmes that Aston Medical School will accept and the grades we normally require: Abbey College Manchester Medicine Foundation Programme: You must achieve a score of 75% overall with 70% or above in Chemistry and Biology. CATS Canterbury, Cambridge and London Medics Programme: You must achieve grades of AAB which must include Chemistry and Biology. Kings Advanced Level Foundation Course: You must achieve a score of 75% overall with at least 70% in Chemistry and Biology.
