Overview

Canada Star offers a dedicated and experienced team of BC-certified educators and academic advisors who tailor their teaching methods to the individual needs of each student. The school focuses on academic prep through the use of small class sizes, post-secondary school planning, monthly communication between administrators and parents, and comprehensive after-school tutoring.

Entry requirements

International students who have not studied in Canada prior to joining Canada Star Secondary School, are required to take an Admissions interview and an Admissions Assessment, to evaluate if they need additional English Language support.

After submission of the application and documents, your Admissions Officer will assist you to schedule your interview with our Head Teacher, either in person or online.

Once the interview is done, your Admissions Officer will send you your username and password for your Online Assessment.

It provides an opportunity for exceptional students entering Grade 8 or above to benefit from an enriched learning environment. During their time at Canada Star Secondary School, students participate in a variety of experiences ranging from day trips to multi-day excursions in BC’s wilderness. Each excursion integrates curricular goals across subjects and fosters social learning and life skills through the students’ desire to learn more about themselves, the school’s community and the environment.
