CBS - The Sino-British College

The Sino-British College, USST, (SBC) is a unique university-college. It was established in 2006 as a joint venture (JV) between the University of Shanghai for Science & Technology (USST) and a consortium of 9 UK universities.

SBC attracts students and faculty from all over the world and seek to develop socially responsible and innovative leaders capable of operating in different cultures. Graduates leave with the tools needed to excel in Business and Engineering in a global marketplace that is increasingly diverse and competitive.

Applicants must normally be 17 years of age by 30th September in the year of entry to SBC Year 1. They must have completed 12 years of school education including completion of year 12 and achieved a satisfactory level of pass in the Year 12 school leaving examinations.

A minimum of IELTS 5.0 in all components.

An acceptable level of Maths is required.

New applicants will automatically receive a 12.5% scholarship if they have paid the required deposit before 31st May.

High Achiever applicants will receive 20,000 CNY scholarships towards their first year of tuition fee as determined by the following criteria.

Two 50% off scholarships are available to be awarded to students whose performances have been outstanding:

• Same minimum academic requirement as High Achievers Scholarships
• Award is based on interviews and personal statement. This scholarship can not be used in combination with High Achievers Scholarship.
