Program overview

We teach you the ubiquitous managerial and financial accounting, but also push you beyond the textbook with experiential learning. Our case courses, for example, are designed to bring real world decision-making into the classroom. Students can pursue an undergraduate degree in Financial Information and Analysis or an MBA degree with a focus on accounting. An accounting concentration is also an option, designed to prepare you for professional exams (such as CPA certification) and a career as a personal or corporate accountant. Our curriculum gives you the ability to go anywhere and do anything with your degree. Our faculty members are world-class accounting professionals with both real-world experiences and extraordinary academic backgrounds. They are part of the built-in support network that sets Clarkson apart and drives why we are among the best schools of business for people with powerful intentions. Clarkson Alumni actively help undergraduates find meaningful internships. The University’s chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, the nearly-100-year-old international honor society for accounting, finance, and information systems, is another resource. Due to the consistent and strong demand in the workplace for accounting professionals, you should expect to be popular after graduation. Recent national surveys of employers demonstrate students graduating with an accounting-related degree earn nearly $10,000 more than the average salary for college graduates. And if you are a CPA your salary could range up to $124,000.
