Program overview
The first year will introduce students to the roles and responsibilities of a buyer, from design concept to point of sale. Students will focus on the business of fashion and build your knowledge in planning, branding, public relations and social media platforms. CAD sessions will support students design and marketing concepts. Essay and report writing will introduce skills in data selection, presentation and the compilation of evidence.

Art and Design Foundation or

BTEC Extended Diploma DMM or
International Baccalaureate: 26+ Points including Art and Design
GCSEs - Five GCSEs grades A* - C (9-4) including English Language or Literature at grade C/4 or above.
Access - Pass Access with 30 Level 3 credits at Merit (or equivalent) and GCSE English (Language or Literature) at grade C/4 or above.
We also accept the BTEC First Diploma plus two GCSEs including English at grade C/4 or above (if required as part of our standard requirement).
If English is not your first language an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with 5.5 .
Career opportunities
This course is designed for students who are aiming for a career in fashion buying, and also offers broader career options which include fashion merchandising, visual merchandising, garment technology, sourcing, design, and fashion marketing. Students will be equipped to work in retail and the extended supply base.
