Program overview

This degree programme covers the technical principles of computer science (computer architecture, implementation, networks), the efficient use of standard and specialised computers (application-specific computing), the design and construction of microelectronic, embedded, and autonomous hardware systems, as well as optics and image processing. Degree programme courses include the following:

    Admission requirements:

    1 - Admission to the MScTI can be granted to those who have completed a Bachelor of Science, Magister, State examination, diploma or equivalent degree in a course of study lasting at least six semesters in the following disciplines and who are qualified has proven

    (a) the department of Computer Science;


    b) Mathematics, natural sciences or engineering sciences with a verifiable proportion of courses for imparting basic knowledge from computer science (such as from the computer science basic compulsory or compulsory modules of the Bachelor's degree programme in Applied Computer Science), whereby a scope of the computer science component of 24 CP is recommended.

    2 - The Admission Committee decides on the equivalence of previous education and the comparability of qualified qualifications. When recognising foreign degrees, the recommendations of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs as well as agreements within the framework of university partnerships must be observed. In cases of doubt, the Zentralstelle für ausländisches Bildungswesen (ZAB) is consulted.

    3 - If the degree has not yet been completed by the time the application is submitted, a provisional certificate from the University of Applied Sciences on the achievements made up to that point is sufficient with the assurance that the corresponding degree will probably be completed by the beginning of the semester for which admission is sought. In the case of applications with a preliminary certificate, the final certificate must be submitted by the time of enrollment at the latest.
