Students spend two years at Illinois College and transition to coursework at St. John’s College of Nursing for years three and four. Graduates of the program will receive a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from St. John’s and a Bachelor of Arts degree in health sciences from IC. Nursing students in the program will have the benefit of academic innovation from both campuses, with coursework that emphasizes the critical thinking and communication skills needed to be a successful nurse and access to St. John's state-of-the-art simulation center.

Illinois College will also recognize successful completion of an English language program in lieu of an English language proficiency exam.
Examples of such programs include (but are not limited to) FLS Level 14 Intensive English Program and Education First (EF) Level C1 English Language Program.
Students who do not meet one of the listed English proficiency examination requirements for regular admissions may be admitted to Illinois College via the Academic Bridge program.
