Overview

The International School of Management (ISM) – with campuses in Dortmund, Frankfurt/Main, Munich, Hamburg, Cologne, Stuttgart and Berlin– is a private, state-recognized University of Applied Sciences that has been offering high-quality, practical and career-focused management education programs with a strong international orientation for more than two decades. Founded in 1990, the ISM is home to about 3600 students pursuing business degrees in a personal atmosphere, under the guidance of faculty and staff members. ISM  provides Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees taught in English or German, a semester abroad as integral part of each program, personal atmosphere and small classes, more than 184 partner universities worldwide. ISM also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.

Entry requirements

During the online application process the following files will be requested:
a. Picture of your face like a passport picture (this is used for your ISM student ID card) (as jpeg)
b. Scanned copy of your passport/ID card (as pdf)
c. Academic record/transcript (as pdf)
Not mandatory yet, but have to be sent later:
d. If you already have a proof of your international health insurance (for example the European Health Insurance Card), you can already upload a copy here (as pdf)
e. Proof of your language level (English B2 or German B1 according to the language in which your courses are taught) (as pdf)

Scholarship & funding

The ISM offers full and also partial scholarships. Students have to apply separately for an ISM scholarship and  need to fulfill several requirements (e.g. financial need, academically outstanding grades, extracurricular activities, passed admission test). Furthermore the chance of receiving a scholarship depends on the number of other applicants as the ISM can only offer a few scholarships each semester. Hence this should not be the only financial opportunity for studying at the ISM. The scholarship application for international applicants (domiciled abroad) must be submitted by May, the 15th for the fall semester or by December, the 15th for the spring semester.
