Overview
Lawrence Tech offers over 100 programs in four colleges, with a total enrollment of nearly 4,500 students, and employs over 400 full- and part-time faculty. The school offers undergraduate, masters, and doctoral programs in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics fields. The university's four colleges are Architecture and Design, Arts and Sciences, Business and Information Technology, and Engineering.
In November 2016, LTU and St. John Providence Hospitals announced they had received state approval to establish a nursing education program. The program, which opened in August 2017, has classroom instruction at LTU's Southfield campus, with clinical and laboratory instruction at six St. John Providence hospital locations around metro Detroit. The new program will fall under Lawrence Tech's College of Arts and Sciences as a major in the LTU Department of Natural Sciences, granting a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. LTU will admit up to 32 students a year in the program.

Application Requirements for undergarduates:

4)For all majors except Nursing: Essay describing your educational goals, highlighting your educational career, or describing your involvement in any leadership development programs
5)Nursing Majors: Essay describing why you are choosing nursing as your major
6)Application fee of $30
Admission is based upon your academic recalculated GPA, which includes courses in the following subject areas:
- English
- Foreign languages
- Mathematics
- Social sciences
- Natural sciences
Admission requirements for international students: All international students are required to take the TOEFL or IELTS as proof of English proficiency. A minimum score of 550 on the paper-based TOEFL, 79 on the internet-based TOEFL, or a 6.5 on the IELTS is required.

Scholarship & funding
LTU regulations restrict the total amount of Institutional aid a student can receive, this includes; merit scholarships, athletic scholarships and any other combination of institutional scholarships or aid. Automation alley is a stand alone scholarship and cannot be combined with other scholarships.
