The Department of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership offers programs on both the undergraduate and graduate level, all leading to eligibility for N.Y. State certification once you have passed all required portions of the New York State Teacher Certification Exam (NYSTCE). It prepares students to teach children from birth to second grade. There is also a 34 credit M.S.Ed. in Early Childhood Urban Education (Birth-Grade 2) for students who already have certification in another area.
