Overview

Malmö University is the ninth largest institute of learning in Sweden. It has exchange agreements with more than 240 partner universities around the world and roughly a third of the students have an international background. Malmö University is an innovative, urban and international institute of higher education, located in the city centre of Malmö. It is looking for people who share values of widening participation in higher education, promoting sustainability and working towards social equality. 

Entry requirements

To be admitted to bachelor’s studies you need to have completed an upper secondary school education that is considered equivalent to one in the Swedish educational system.

Malmö University requires English proficiency equivalent to secondary school for all programmes and courses taught in English. Non-EU candidates must demonstrate their English skills through an internationally recognised English test. Accepted tests are IELTS Academic and TOEFL.

Required test scores:

  • IELTS: an academic test with an overall mark of 6.5 and no module under 5.5
  • TOEFL (Paper-based): total score of at least 575. The written test must be at least 4.5 (scale 1-6)
  • TOEFL (Internet-based): total score of at least 90. The written test must be at least 20 (scale 0-30)
