Overview
The university provides the academic, leadership, and social opportunities to help each person excel. Your success—in whatever field of study or career goal—is the university success. MSU takes that mission seriously. Here, faculty, staff and students share a common goal: to make the Mississippi State University experience a lifetime opportunity.
Entry requirements
International students must also submit:
Certified, translated copies of all transcripts, mark sheets and diplomas, in a sealed, stamped envelope from your school.
Official ACT score of 20 or higher, official OLD SAT score of 960 or higher, or NEW SAT score of 1030 (only if your GPA is below 3.0 based on our evaluation of your transcripts OR if you are applying for scholarships).
Use College Board's SAT Score Converter to compare scores from the old SAT and the new SAT.
English Proficiency demonstrated through TOEFL or IELTS scores (minimum score for regular admission is 525 paper based / 71 IBT or 6.0 IELTS)
Scholarship & funding
Students must enroll as a full-time student in the semester in which the award is received. Renewal of scholarships and non-resident scholarships is based on maintaining continuous full-time enrollment and maintaining the required GPA as listed in the scholarship offer. Enrollment and GPA are checked at the end of each spring semester.
