The university provides the academic, leadership, and social opportunities to help each person excel. Your success—in whatever field of study or career goal—is the university success. MSU takes that mission seriously. Here, faculty, staff and students share a common goal: to make the Mississippi State University experience a lifetime opportunity.

Entry requirements

International students must also submit:

Certified, translated copies of all transcripts, mark sheets and diplomas, in a sealed, stamped envelope from your school.

Official ACT score of 20 or higher, official OLD SAT score of 960 or higher, or NEW SAT score of 1030 (only if your GPA is below 3.0 based on our evaluation of your transcripts OR if you are applying for scholarships).

Use College Board's SAT Score Converter to compare scores from the old SAT and the new SAT.

Student life

Bulldog pride runs deep at Mississippi State University. MSU is very passionate about the unique traditions that make the Bulldog family stand out from the rest. MSU loves ringing our cowbells, tailgating in the Junction and wearing maroon on Fridays. Mississippi State University is proud of our traditions!
