Missouri University of Science and Technology - Missouri S&T for short -  and it has been at the top of the research and innovation game for a long time. Founded in 1870 as one of the first technological institutions west of the Mississippi, it has been building on the heritage of discovery, creativity and innovation to equip and inspire today’s students to meet tomorrow’s great global challenges.

Entry requirements

Missouri S&T seeks international students who have a strong probability of succeeding at the university. Admission is selective and based on a combination of secondary school core curriculum (a set of required secondary school classes), ACT and/or SAT composite scores (if available), grade point average (GPA), and class rank percentile. (For non-ranking schools, GPA will be used to evaluate your application).

International students must fulfill the same admission requirements as domestic applicants, but standardized test scores (ACT or SAT) are not required but should be submitted if available. Meeting the minimum requirements, however, does not guarantee admission, nor does it guarantee admission to a particular program. Missouri S&T appreciates well-rounded students and evaluates each application individually.

In addition, international students must fulfill Missouri S&T’s English language proficiency requirement. Minimum English proficiency test score requirements are 79 for TOEFL, 6.0 for IELTS, or 53 for PTE.

Scholarship & funding

Merit-based scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, particular skills or special characteristics. Need-based aid is awarded to students who demonstrate financial need that is determined by the results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Student life

Living on campus is one of the most exciting parts of going to college. You'll find ways to connect with others - socially, recreationally and academically. Each residence hall is equipped with computer labs, laundry facilities, quiet floors, television and wifi, and you will have access to several locations on campus to grab a meal or quick snack.
