Moscow Power Engineering Institute

In 1946 MPEI organized its first program for training of international students and from this time it has always been open for foreigners. Since then more than 11000 foreign students from more than 100 countries gained their Bachelor and Master degree at MPEI. More than 1000 specialists got the PhD and Dr.-Sc. Degree. On the territory of MPEI 550 educational laboratories for students and more than 100 research laboratories are located. MPEI consists of 70 Departments with their own special scientific and research purposes.

Admission to MPEI is organized on the basis of tests and conversations. Apart from that, the following documents are necessary:

For the Bachelor course:

• origin of the legalized documents on the previous education with the Appendix to it (the legalized certificate from full secondary school),
• confirmed translation into Russian of the documents on the previous education with the Appendix to it,
• medical certificate,
• filled application form,
• copy of national passport.
• An applicant should take the Russian language course unless he is going to study in English medium.

For the Master Science course:

All documents mentioned above plus the legalized diploma of Bachelor of Science. The officials of MPEI examine those documents and decide whether the disciplines studied by the applicant are enough to continue education at MPEI or if some fields need to be studied in further detail.​
