Overview

Sookmyung Women’s University is Korea’s first national private women’s school. It was founded in 1906 during the latter stages of the Korean empire, one of the most difficult periods in the nation’s history. Sookmuyng has grown to become Korea’s leading women’s university. Throughout its 113 year history, Sookmyung has accumulated invaluable educational experience, research capabilities, and community service experience. 

Entry requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following conditions:

1) Graduated from high school or expected to graduate before August 31, 2019

2) Have high school graduate equivalency approved by and authorized organization C.

Applicants of English track need to obtain one of the following language scores: TOEFL PBT 587, CBT 240, IBT 95, IELTS 6.5, TEPS 716 etc. or higher

Scholarship & funding

Sookmuyng provides scholarships for international students. Evaluation criteria : GPA(grade point average), Interview Score, TOPIK score. Scholarship can cover 100%, 70% or 50% of tuition.
