Overview
Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi plays a distinctive and crucial role in tertiary education, providing an opportunity to learn based on the values of āhuatanga Māori according to tikanga Māori. Strong relationships with the communities of interest – in Aotearoa and internationally – drive the relevance of academic programmes, teaching and research. Academic achievement and cultural competence are equally significant. Graduates have discovered the advantage that an Awanuiārangi education can provide as they move into the workforce, and position themselves to make a difference within their communities.
Entry requirements
Demonstration of an ability to study at Level 5
Successful completion of an approved pre-entry foundation learning programme or equivalent
Previous work and life experience may be taken into account for mature students. Each applicant will be assessed on merit and admission granted at the discretion of the Head of School.
