Every year, Tel Aviv University hosts thousands of international students studying in English. The school provides students with the choice of more than 60 academic programs that range from a semester, summer or year abroad to full degrees at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels as well as PhD and Post-Doctoral programs. All these programs are designed specifically for international students by TAUi staff.
Entry requirements
High School Diploma is required.
All applicants applying to TAU International English-speaking programs who are from non-English speaking countries or are non-native speakers of English must provide proof of English proficiency. Applicants can do so in one if the following ways:
- By submitting test scores for IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge exams. The English proficiency tests scores must show that the applicant is at the B2 level on the CEFR:
IELTS: 6.5, all test components need to be in the B2 range
TOEFL: 550 paper* / 79 internet**

Cambridge FCE/ Cambridge English: Advance (CAE)/ Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE): pass (A, B or C) - By submitting an official letter written by an English language expert from a recognized academic institution testifying that the applicant is at the B2 level or higher on the CEFR.
- In response to the closure of testing centers due to the Coronavirus Outbreak, Tel Aviv University has approved the use of the Duolingo English Test on a temporary basis until September 2020. This test may serve as a replacement for the TOEFL and IELTS proficiency exams. Duolingo English tests taken only between January and September 2020, will be accepted for Summer and Fall 2020 admissions. A minimum score of 105 is required.
