The local area has a variety of off-campus rental housing options including single homes, duplexes, apartments and rooms for rent. Students wishing to live off-campus need to research availability on their own and should arrive well before the start of term to do so.

There are a wide variety of homestay options available, and our partners do their best to match students and hosts according to their interests and preferences. Homestay hosts include single people, young couples with children and pets, and older couples.

For programs where the language of instruction of English, the language proficiency tests accepted are:

1. International English Language Testing System (IELTS): 5.5

2. IELTS for Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan: 6.0 with 1 Band 5.5

3. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) IBT: 55

4. Cambridge English Language Assessment: 162

5. Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL): 40

6. PTE Academic: 42

7. Duolingo: 85

For programs where the language of instruction is French, the following standardized tests are accepted:

1. Diplôme approfondi de langue française/Diplôme d’études en langue française (DELF)/(DALF): Levels B1

2. Test d’Évaluation du français adapte pour le Québec (TEFaQ): Levels B1

3. Test de connaissance du français pour le Québec (TCFQ): Levels B1

Institute grants and scholarships are applicable to all 2021 and 2022 intakes, including January 2023 intake. Note that there may be changes to tuition amounts and/or other fees during the time this application is in effect; Trebas Institute’s grant or scholarship recipients are expected to act as ambassadors and participate in outreach and alumni engagement initiatives in their home region for Trebas Institute once the grant is granted. A grant or a scholarship cannot be combined with any other grant or scholarship, it has no cash value and cannot be transferred.
