Overview

The University of Bath was established on Claverton Down in Bath in 1966. The campus university in the South West of England. Bath is only 1 hour and 25 minutes away from London by train. The University of Bath offers courses in engineering, humanities, management, science and social science.

The University of Bath is 6th in the Guardian University Guide 2020, with 11 subjects in the top ten, including number two in the country for Sociology and number three for Business, Management and Marketing, and Psychology.

The guide ranks universities in nine key areas, including course satisfaction, student-to-staff ratio and graduate prospects.

The university is ranked 4th for employment within six months of graduation.


Entry requirements

You must prove your knowledge of the English language when you apply. This usually means passing a secure English language test (SELT).

Also you should get a Tier 4 Visa to enter the country for study.

If you are age 21 or over, you are defined as a mature student. Although your route to higher education may be different, the application process is the same as it is for everyone else. You still need to apply through UCAS.

The University of Bath accepts a variety of qualifications, including the Access to HE Diploma and Open University credits.

Scholarship & funding

The university offers scholarship schemes aimed at overseas students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement.

The Chancellor's Scholarship is aimed at overseas students who have demonstrated academic excellence in their studies, and awards will be made to all eligible students. All overseas students receiving this award will receive a first year tuition fee waiver worth up to £2,000.

  • a £2,000 first year tuition fee waiver if you achieve A Level grades of A* A* A*, or equivalent (see Terms and Conditions)
