Entry requirements

To be considered for admission to UC Berkeley, international applicants must:

finish secondary school and

earn a certificate of completion, which allows admission to a university in their home country or country of graduation. 

English proficiency proof is necessary.

Applicants have the option to provide additional information about their English ability by submitting a score on the Duolingo English Test. This is an optional supplement that may assist us in evaluating your application. TOEFL or IELTS is still required.
